About Adam…

“Adam Unger can do something Yankees legends Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez can’t do. Sing opera.” declared Tina Cervasio of Fox 5 New York. A former professional baseball player for the New York Yankees and Colorado Rockies, Unger always had his eye on becoming a singer. After taking a break from singing to attend law school at the University of Pennsylvania and practice law at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, and Herrick, Feinstein, Unger decided to take his baritone voice back to the opera stage in 2019. That year, he won second place in the New York Lyric Opera Competition and performed a concert for the Metropolitan Opera Guild. In 2020, Unger made his role debut as Count Monterone in Guiseppe Verdi’s Rigoletto at The Box in New York and sang a concert for the Church of St. Anthony in Nanuet, New York with Tenor Jonathan Tetelman. Most recently in 2022, Unger made his role debut as Alfio in Pietro Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana in a live-streamed performance at The Church of the Village in New York City.

Adam Unger’s journey from professional baseball player, to lawyer to opera singer has been featured in The New York Post and on Fox 5 New York.

Adam Unger graduated from CUNY Queens College in 2009 with a Bachelors in Psychology and a minor in Music. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2015.
